That First Journal Entry
Reflections and Resolutions
Yes, I did sit down to write that first journal entry.
Not on New Year’s Day.
Not during some perfectly timed or beautifully curated journaling session.
Because perfect is boring.
But what came out looked like a lot of numbers—and maybe more.
I’ll share some of that entry here:
2026 marks the beginning of my 24th year as a Chinese Medicine practitioner.
Along the way, I’ve written 303 Substack newsletters,
published 86 podcast episodes,
created 117 YouTube videos,
treated more than 22,000 patients,
coached about 108 clients,
hosted 88 workshops,
and disposed of precisely 203,568 acupuncture needles. And somehow—simultaneously—I feel like both a master and a beginner.
Which, honestly, feels exactly right with where I am in life.
I’ve been doing this a while…and yet, I am still a baby in so many things!
By mid-year, I’ll have a doctorate in Chinese Medicine under my belt.
By the end of the year, a draft of my first book will exist in the world.
And in between, I plan to have treated at least 888 patients and guided more than 88 Second Spring clients into feeling deeply, unapologetically comfortable in their own skin. That is an exciting goal!
Did I just come up with my New Year’s resolutions?
Maybe!!
Or maybe it’s just me taking inventory—noticing patterns, and naming what’s been done, what’s already in motion, and what is still becoming.
And you know what?
This is EXACTLY what I help you do—my dear community of midlife women, humans seeking more flow, more ease, more coherence between mind, body, and soul.

Together,
We pause.
We assess.
We tend what needs tending.
We make small, meaningful adjustments— in the body, in the brain, and everything in between.
With care.
With intention.
As a master and a beginner.
I am so proud—and deeply privileged—to be on this healing journey with you,
and to be part of your wellness team.
See you soon—
for a Holistic Acupuncture session,
a Second Spring coaching session,
or in the spaces in between.
With love and gratitude,
xoxo
Kit
P.S. The Chinese New Year Vision Quest is fully booked, but we do have a waitlist! If there’s enough interest, we are planning on adding another session. Please reply to this email if you want to be on the list (it’s looking promising!).
