Postcards from the Far East
And the Vision Quest workshop update
Somewhere 30,000 feet over the Pacific Ocean, I started drafting this post in my head as a way to stay connected with you while I am on the other side of the world.
I knew my body clock would be completely out of whack for a few days, which usually means my mind follows suit. Jet-lagged thoughts don’t always line up neatly into something intelligible for the Second Spring Chronicle.
A handful of stories began competing for attention.
Should I tell you about Jermaine — a beautiful Black man who had me at hello in the airport?
Or the near-medical emergency that unfolded right in front of me on the plane?
Or I could do a 2025 wrap-up of what was, truly, a tremendous year?
Or help you find your word for 2026?
Or I could just share some photos from my travels — a quiet way of bringing the Far East stories — and spare you anything deep, meaningful, or profound.
Sometimes simpler is better.
Sometimes nothing is everything.
But before I do a photo dump, I want to share a quote I came across this morning — one that landed even in my jet-lagged brain. Maybe it’s exactly what you need in this crossing between Christmas and New Year’s.
It’s a Zen teaching:
“Instead of waiting for the answers, you can drop the questions.”
In other words, when you’re struggling to control an outcome, why not loosen your grip by letting go of expectations.
Stop asking the whys, the whens, and the hows.
Instead, choose to trust the unfolding of your journey.
Without the questions, the story is already telling itself.
That’s a wrap for the Second Spring Chronicle in 2025!
Thank you for following, reading, and being part of this journey. I look forward to more with you here — or in real life — in the new year.
With love, light and gratitude,
xoxo
Kit
P.S. The Chinese New Year Vision Quest workshop is now completely full!
Willow and I started a waitlist for anyone who missed registration. If there’s enough interest to open a second workshop, we’ll notify those on the waitlist first.
