Same same, but different

This marks my third visit to Denmark’s capital this summer—yes, three times in just three months! It’s a bit unusual, but life is so much more interesting when we get to step out of our routines, break a few of our own rules, and embrace the unexpected, don’t you think?

This time, I’m here with my entire family, which is such a treat!

Revisiting places I saw just a few weeks ago brings a comforting familiarity, yet there’s also a sense of change. The baby waterfowl have grown so much; the hollyhocks have mostly gone to seed, and the long days are gradually giving way to longer nights. Summer is coming to an end up north.

But what’s even more incredible is seeing our children mature right before our eyes! They’ve traveled internationally, navigated new systems in unfamiliar languages and places, faced uncertainties, and supported each other in new ways. How fun to witness their growth!

Same places, same people, but also different.

Change is the only constant, reminding us that life is always happening, and we’d better not blink!
