Just Kidding (Not Really)
Stardust, planets and you
I am not here today to talk about the Fire Horse. Or how the Sun just crossed into Pisces. Or the recent solar eclipse.
I was actually going to discuss how Saturn and Neptune just conjuncted with Aries, at zero degrees. THAT was something, wasn’t it!
Just kidding.
I don’t actually know anything about the planets. And I only pretend to know a little something about astrology.
What I do know is this:
We humans — at least some of us — really like knowing more than not knowing.
We feel safe when things feel certain. Safer when we feel in control; when the future offers comfort instead of uncertainty.
Anything that brings us a sense of knowing helps quell the angst of not knowing.
So we plan our days and weeks. We make appointments, reserve tables, and book tickets. We create to-do lists, vision boards, and quarterly goals.
All in an effort to feel grounded in our lives.
To be in control of the future.
To make what is not here yet feel real.
To calm the wondering mind that wants confirmation, yes… we are going to be safe.
If you feel called out right about now, know that I am talking about myself. 🤣
You are not alone!
Here’s the real question behind it all — the one that I have to ask myself many times a day because it is too easy to forget.
How often do we actually allow ourselves to be in the only thing we can control?
Because it’s right here.
Right as you are reading these words.
Right now.
And now.
And now.
If you are still reading this, I am pretty sure you are safe.
I am pretty sure you have most of what you need.
I am almost 100% positive that you are okay.
Okay enough.
So let the planets and signs, stars and animals, elements and numbers do their thing.
They are going to, regardless of what we do anyway.
We can tap in and tune into them for fun, for comfort, for connection and guidance. There’s nothing wrong with any of that, especially if it brings you some peace or joy or both.
But never forget this:
YOU are the most powerful of them all.
You are made of stardust. You know that, right?
You are your own animal. Because that’s what we are.
You are, in fact, the sign you are looking for.
Right now.
And now.
And now.
All is well — right now.
Let’s let that be enough.
For now.
With warmth and gratitude,
xoxo
Kit
P.S. Some fun stuff from this week. I’m sure you’ve heard about this pure joy But I bet you don’t know about this cool contest.
Which one would you vote for?
P.P.S. There’s a lot happening for you and me in March — which is NOT now.
So I’ll wait for March to share all the March Madness that may or may not have anything to do with basketball at all.
