Happy Fire Horse
TCM views on how to gallop into this year
It’s finally here: The Fire Horse.
Yang.
Active.
Energized.
It feels like an action film after a long Shakespearean tragedy.
But I’m not here today to dramatize it. I’m here to help you work with it — so this energy supports your health instead of hijacking it.
Let’s go full Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
From a TCM lens, Fire Horse is:
Fire element dominance → Heart, Shen, circulation, nervous system
Horse energy → motion, freedom, momentum, courage (and yes, impulsivity)
High Qi velocity → things move quickly: emotionally, relationally, professionally, somatically
In plain language. The Fire Horse year brings:
More passion.
More restlessness.
More inspiration — and more reactivity.
More “I can’t sit still.”
More truth coming out of bodies and mouths.
You may notice:
Sudden clarity
Bold life pivots
Relationship awakenings
Creative bursts
Nervous system flare-ups if you don’t pace yourself
The realization that you’ve outgrown certain containers
This is not a quiet year.
So how do you stay healthy in a Fire Horse year?
Not by doing more — by anchoring the fire.
Here’s what you can do.
Regulate your nervous system like it’s your job.
Fire Horse runs on adrenaline. Your medicine includes:
Slow breathing
Longer exhales
Walks without distractions
Intentional pauses
If you don’t consciously downshift, your Shen will ride the horse straight into burnout.
Move your body — but don’t punish it.
Think: circulate Qi, don’t whip it. Horse energy needs movement. Practice:
Walking
Shaking
Dancing
Swimming
Light strength + mobility
You want flow, not depletion.
Nourish Yin + Blood.
This year burns fuel fast. Support yourself with:
Soups, broths, stews
Roasted root vegetables
Eggs
Dark leafy greens
Berries
Black sesame
Dates
Warm breakfasts
Less skipping meals. Less running on caffeine. More steady nourishment.
Create emotional containers.
Fire Horse opens hearts — and mouths. Without structure, emotions leak sideways into anxiety, conflict, or physical symptoms.
Use these tools:
Journaling
Therapy
Honest conversations
Creative outlets
Clear boundaries
Put on your crown. Stay in your tower. Intensity does not require chaos.
Choose courage over chaos.
This is a truth year. Fire Horse exposes where sovereignty is missing.
Thriving for you will look like:
Making aligned decisions
Ending self-abandonment
Speaking honestly
Following body wisdom
Letting what’s expired burn away
In short, this the Fire Horse invites you to:
✨ Reclaim your aliveness
✨ Remember desire
✨ Trust your body
✨ Let old identities burn
✨ Choose authenticity over safety
It’s Second Spring energy — amplified.
The goal isn’t to tame the horse. It’s to ride it without losing yourself, without burning yourself out.
The goal this year is to give yourself permission to be the bold, brilliant you.
Or you ready?
Giddy Up!
Get on your horse — I am already on mine!
With love,
xoxo
