6 More Weeks
with and without the needles
It might surprise you that the question I get most often from former patients or people I have not seen in a while is this:
“Are you still doing acupuncture?”
It catches me off guard every time because, truthfully, I haven’t taken much time away from acupuncture since I began practicing in 2002.
My first thought is always, Of course I’m still doing acupuncture!
But I understand why people ask.
Most of what I share here—and elsewhere—isn’t about treating migraines, rehabbing back pain, or decoding Chinese medicine theory. I’m not posting herbal remedies for GERD or tips for those nagging night sweats. (Although every now and then, I do put my expert hat on.)
More often, I try to weave the “medicine” into stories.
Because after more than two decades as a practitioner, I’ve come to believe that healing rarely begins with a diagnosis or on the table. It begins with a new perspective — a new way to see things. With the tiny choices we make every day — our daily habits matter.
Those things shape our reality. And we have control over how we think and what we do in our own life.
You get to be your own healer more than you realize.
So, I like to think that I get to help you heal without needing the needles. It’s my way of teaching you how to fish, so one day you won’t need me to catch every fish for you.
But if you’re still wondering...
Am I still doing acupuncture?
The answer is a resounding YES!
For six more weeks, I'm here to help you ease your aches and pains, feel more grounded when anxiety and overwhelm take over, and become a little less stuck—both inside your body and in your life.
As another trip around the sun approaches this September, I’ll be taking a month-long sabbatical across the pond to rest, reflect, reconnect, and create. My hope is to return with fresh perspective, renewed energy, and even more of myself to share with you.
I’ll be back in October offering acupuncture, new health and life coaching opportunities for you, and—of course—plenty more stories.
Until then, I am still here!
With and without the needles.
Love,
xoxo
Dr. Kit
P.S. If you’ve been meaning to schedule your summer acupuncture session, now’s the time.
P.P.S. Joy in July—my 31-day project to slow down time—continues. I’d love for you to join me.
